All Scuffmaster paints are water-based and formulated to ensure that the volatile organic compound content is below all federal and state standards, as well as industry guidelines put forth by USGBC L.E.E.D® Green Building Rating System. The USGBC adopted the GS-11 standards used by Green Seal™ - an independent organization that, for a fee, certifies building products on environmental considerations. In addition, Scuffmaster products meet the requirements of regional environmental agencies like California's South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD), which sets the most stringent limits on VOC content. All Scuffmaster products meet the L.E.E.D. requirement of 150 g/L or less.
